Local police seek public assistance

East Pilbara Detectives are appealing for witnesses to assist with their ongoing investigations into an assault that occurred in South Hedland in January.

A 54-year old woman was located unconscious by a member of the public in a vacant block near Daylesford Park in the early hours of Friday January 13.

The woman suffered serious had and facial injuries and was taken to Hedland Health Campus for treatment.

Detectives are urging anyone who was in the vicinity of Daylesford Park between 4:00pm on Thursday 12 and 5:30am on Friday 13 January who may have seen the woman to come forward.
