South Hedland youth are set to have plenty of fun this Christmas, with a huge donation of toys given to the Youth Involvement Council from local company Rivtow Marine.

YIC is the primary youth organisation delivering programs to young people in Hedland and surrounding areas.

Rivtow Marine spokeswoman Susan Clark said they had been collecting donations for four weeks and were happy to give back to the community.

“The reason for choosing the Youth Involvement Council was because we wanted to do something for the local young community; we believe that YIC, as they work so closely with the children here in Hedland, would ensure the gifts donated would go to those most in need,” Ms Clark said.

“Our contractor groups wanted to get involved within the community and help make a difference during the festive season.

“Christmas is all about the kids and we just wanted to do something for them, from us.”
