With two weeks left in the regular season, competition for a spot in the play-offs is heating up in the South Hedland Futsal League at Wanangkura Stadium.

Third place Claret and Blue Army cruised to a 9-1 win over Vikings FC, securing their finals berth thanks to a stellar performance from Scottish powerhouse Craig McGill, who netted a hat-trick in a man-of-the-match performance Kenny Dalglish would be proud of.

League leaders It’s About to Get Messi lived up to their name, defeating bottom of the ladder Sakura 17-3 to boost their goal difference into triple digits at +108.

A surprise result saw Monadelphous defeat JAFT to move up into fifth place on goal difference, putting pressure on Wedgefield, who had a bye and will look to stave off competition to retain their spot at fourth on the ladder.

While Legends defeated Buckalahs 6-3, to keep their play-off hopes alive.

With two rounds left in the season, the semi finals will see first place It’s About to Get Messi face off against fourth place Wedgefield, while second place JAFT will look to end third place Claret and Blue Army’s strong form.
