Motorbike crash information appeal

Police are appealing for public information after a motorcycle crashed on Sutherland Street in Port Hedland on Saturday, leaving the rider unconscious.

A member of the public reported the accident to police at about 11pm.

Police said it appeared the rider lost control of the black Yamaha motorcycle near the intersection of Oceanus Court before crashing into a fence.

The 30-year-old rider was taken by ambulance to Hedland Health Campus before being flown to Royal Perth Hospital.

South Hedland Police Station Senior Sergeant Dean Snashall said the man was in serious but stable condition.
