Oktoberfest brings cheer to Hedland

It was that time of the year for patrons to dust off their dirndls and lederhosen as Blanche Bar’s hosted their annual Oktoberfest celebrations at Port Hedland’s Civic Centre Gardens.
The Northwest Oktoberfest appeared to be a hit for Hedlanders as people enjoyed German drinks, food, entertainment and a silent disco.
Event manger Bart Parsons was pleased with the cooler weather and the number of people who attended the event.
“The event grows more and more each year,” he said.
“It does get much harder for us to host, but it is definitely something we will keep endeavouring to do in Hedland.
“I hope party-goers have a good night and respect the venue and the staff for making this all happen.”
