Her work has been featured on the runways of Paris, the stages of London and the skylines of New York City, but now trailblazing Hedland creative Bobbi Lockyer has unveiled her next, more local line of work — a homewares range for Woolworths stores across the country. Hailing from Ngarluma, Kariyarra, Nyulnyul and Yawuru country, Bobbi’s designs are deeply rooted in her culture, offering a unique and authentic representation of Australia’s First Nations, especially from northern WA. And now, Bobbi’s nor-west inspired designs will feature in stores across Australia, with her new Woolworths range including two unique quilt cover sets, a range of throws, drink bottles, mugs, and photo frames, all beautifully crafted to showcase the stories of the past, the colours of country, and the waves of the ocean. Aside from the Woolworths range, Bobbi has also recently partnered with clothing brands TradeMutt and Sweet Peanuts for the launch of a range of hi-vis shirts and scrubs, while her exceptional creative flair was showcased in Miss Australia’s swimsuit cover-up earlier this year. Bobbi’s international acclaim was further solidified at the Women Changing the World Award 2023 held in London, where she walked away with the Entrepreneur of the Year award, the First Nations Leadership award, and came in third place for the People’s Choice Women Changing the World - Cultural Diversity and Inclusion award. As part of the range, some $20,000 will be donated to Minus18, which will create and distribute 500 anti-bullying LGBTQIA+ resource kits for up to 20,000 students across Australia.
