Pilbara Development Commission chief executive Terry Hill AM has been appointed as the organisation’s new chair following the departure of Tim Larkin. Mr Hill will transition into the new role after more than eight years as chief in which he was involved in projects such as the Pilbara Hydrogen Hub and the Northern Native Seed Industry Development Initiative. Regional Development Minister Don Punch said given Mr Hill’s experience, he expected him to thrive in the role. “Terry Hill is a passionate, knowledgeable, and committed leader and advocate for the Pilbara,” he said. “He has built strong networks and initiated the development of some very significant projects in the region. “I wish Mr Hill all the best as chair of the Pilbara Development Commission. I am confident he will continue to shape the future of the Pilbara and assist with the transition of the new CEO into the role.” Mr Larkin has been chair of the PDC since 2020 and has more than 30 years of experience working in multinational companies. Mr Hill was previously deputy chair of the Grape and Wine Research and Development Corporation and a foundation director of Horticulture Australia Ltd.
