Pro inspires youngsters

There was plenty of action at the Hedland BMX track last weekend as young members took part in sessions with pro rider Casey Hunter.
The sessions aim to provide young athletes with the skills to boost their confidence on the track and help them achieve their goals.
The ardent rider became hooked on the sport when he first started riding at the age of seven.
He competed in the recent BMX Australia National Championships in Brisbane, scoring in the top 20 for the pro/elite category.
Hunter was in Hedland on Saturday and Sunday hosting workshops for all age groups from beginners through to seniors and advanced.
“The reason I do it is because it reminds me of when I was younger ... there were a few riders who never gave me the time of day,” he said.
“I want to make sure young riders feel included.”
