The Port Hedland Rovers continued their good form taking down the Wickham Wolves in a dominant display over the weekend.

The Wolves took the lead early at Colin Matheson Oval, outscoring the Rovers to be up by seven points after a back-and-forth opening term.

It was in the second quarter that the Rovers began to find their feet, firing back two goals and keeping the Wolves goal-less to secure a slim six-point lead at the main break.

It was the third term that saw the Rovers run away with the game.

A four-goal blitz saw the Rovers sprint to a 21-point lead, while the Wolves wasted opportunities in front of goal, kicking 1.4.

The final term saw the Rovers refuse to slow down and continue to build pressure on the visiting side by booting 3.2 to the Wolves 2.4.

In the end the Rovers proved too much for the Wolves, defeating the visiting side 10.7 (67) to 5.12 (42).

Meanwhile in the reserves competition, the Rovers ran roughshod over the Wolves, annihilating their opponents by 78 points.

The final score saw the Port Hedland Rovers defeat the Wickham Wolves 14.12 (96) to 2.6 (18).
