Shire wipes slate

Debts worth $3300.40 have been written off by Shire of East Pilbara councillors at deputy executive officer Sian Appleton’s recommendation.

In the past year, five Shire debtors went into liquidation and two others did not respond to collectors.

Deputy executive officer Sian Appleton wrote recommended councillors write off the debt as “the end fees outweighed the outstanding invoices”.

”Despite attempts over a long period to recover the following debts, all attempts have been unsuccessful,” she said.
