South Hedland Child and Parent Centre host family fun day

The Y Children’s Fun Day was held at the South Hedland Child and Parent Centre last month, providing an opportunity for parents to explore the YMCA’s Hedland facility. Activities such as face painting, potion making and a teddy bear picnic and book week were held at the centre. The Child and Parent Centre is an early intervention initiative developed between the Department of Education, Department of Health and Department Communities. Services and programs currently running are child health services, maternal health workshops and programs, early learning programs and supported playgroups.
