An upset in the top division was the highlight of Hedland netball at Faye Gladstone Courts on Tuesday in the penultimate round of the season before finals.

The Spectres defeated the Dragons 42-28 to steal their opposition’s second position on the A-grade ladder.

In A-grade’s other round 14 fixture, the Eagles solidified their position at the top of the table with a convincing 56-28 victory over Lynx.

Netball’s B division featured one-sided contests as second-placed Illusions toppled the Eagles 48-29 and the Dragons beat PHADS 55-28.

The ladder-leading Spectres comfortably took care of Lynx 40-22 and sit eight points clear on top of the B-grade table.

It was a nailbiting thriller between the Dragons and the Lynx in C-grade as the Dragons scraped through with a 38-37 victory in the closest match of the night.

The First and second-placed battled it out in the division’s other match, with ladder-leading Spectres belting Illusions 47-28.
