Town gears up for North West Festival
The highly anticipated North West Festival will return to Port Hedland this weekend with two days of music, culture, and entertainment.
The festival line-up this year includes Boy and Bear, SpiderBait, and Vera Blue.
Town of Port Hedland Mayor Camilo Blanco said the new location at the Civic Centre Gardens was perfect for the event and encouraged residents to attend.
Mr Blanco said the buzz around town was building as all those involved gear up for what is expected to be an incredible weekend.
“I would like to welcome everyone joining us for the festival whether they are locals, from neighbouring shires or from further afield,” he said.
“The North West Festival supports the Town’s vision to create a nationally significant, friendly city, and showcases our vibrant community, natural environment and the collaboration of our local businesses and industry.”
A firework display is set to kick off at the Spoilbank at 8.45pm and the Town has reminded residents to take extra precaution and be aware that loud bangs, shouts and flashing lights can scare pets.
Shuttle buses will be running between South and Port Hedland across the two days to ensure that people are travelling responsibly.

Tickets are available online at www.moshtix.com.au or at South Hedland Library.
