Two charged over alleged fraud incidents

A man and woman appeared at South Hedland Magistrate’s Court yesterday over the alleged fraudulent theft of a bank card.

The pair were arrested on March 15 and charged with three counts of fraud and two counts of stealing after allegedly using the card at BP and Caltex service stations in South Hedland.

The 36-year-old woman’s appearance also concerned a charge over an alleged burglary at Coles at about 8.40am in on March 7.

Police allege the woman threatened staff with a syringe after she tried to walk out of the store with unpaid items.

The woman is remanded in custody and the man has been granted bail.
