WA music royalty Kav Temperley confirmed as headline act for Newman’s Outback Fusion Festival

Following a COVID-19 hiatus, WA rock royalty Kav Temperley will trek to the Pilbara next month to headline the highly anticipated Outback Fusion Festival in Newman. The music, food, art and culture festival will be held March 26-28 and coincide with Harmony Day celebrations. Its musical line-up is set to include the Eskimo Joe rocker as well as Pilbara favourites Bangers by Benny, the Collectables, Jokeria and the Yurti Band. Jokeria, which stands for Josh Kendall Roebourne Independent Artists, will showcase songs inspired by the people, culture, land and history of the Pilbara region. Festivities will open on March 27 at Martumili Art Centre with artistic delights to celebrate the region’s vibrant cultural heritage. Entertainment throughout the weekend will include a visit from the Eco Fairies, an acrobatic show, an international food market, roving entertainment, a children’s stage show, inflatables, face painting and a fire show. Shire of East Pilbara president Lynne Craigie said she was excited to announce the festival and welcome the artists to the Pilbara “The Outback Fusion Festival is our premier festival and I am excited to announce the great variety of music, entertainment and activities we have coming as part of our event,” she said. “We are thrilled to welcome Kav Temperley from Eskimo Joe to join us in the heart of the Pilbara for this year’s festival. “From live music to workshops, to roving entertainment, we’ll have something for everyone across the weekend.”
