Warning on parking

Taylar AmoniniNorth West Telegraph

Newman drivers have been given notice by rangers if they fail to abide by parking laws.

Shire of East Pilbara rangers have voiced their concerns over a recent increase in the number of drivers parking incorrectly in and around the Newman town centre. The main offences are vehicles parking the wrong way in the parking bays and parking against the flow of traffic on streets.

Parkers on Lee Lane and Iron Ore Parade have been highlighted as the worst offenders.

Lee Lane drivers have also been reminded that parking is restricted to 15 minutes in that area.

Under the Shire of East Pilbara local laws, it is a prescribed offence to park the wrong way and park against the flow of traffic.
