Police are looking to question two men after a weekend incident outside a regional RSL club, where a wild duck was allegedly chased and decapitated.

Police claim witnesses saw two men chasing a flock of wild ducks in the Mittagong RSL car park on Saturday, before one of the ducks was caught and decapitated by one of the men.

The men left the scene a short time later and police were notified.

As investigations into the incident continue, police have released images of two men who they believe witnessed the incident and may be able to assist with inquiries.

One man is described as being of caucasian appearance, of medium build, and is seen wearing a fluorescent yellow and blue singlet, blue football shorts, a blue cap, thongs and sunglasses.

The second male is described as being of caucasian appearance with a slim build, and is seen wearing a grey T-shirt, blue shorts, thongs and a blue cap.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone with information or who has footage of the incident to contact Goulburn Detectives on (02) 4824 0736 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
