Number of WA service stations out of diesel increases by 207 per cent overnight

The fallout from the fuel crisis has deteriorated overnight with the number of WA service stations running out of diesel increasing by more than 207 per cent.

On Wednesday, there were 12 service stations that had run out of diesel, mainly in regional communities, but that has ballooned to 45 retailers on Thursday.

Another 19 retailers are without unleaded petrol.

Premier Roger Cook maintains that “petrol and diesel supplies remain secure, ships are arriving on schedule, and our fuel terminals are well-stocked”.
