The West Australian reporter Caitlyn Rintoul has been nominated for a Walkley Award.

Rintoul has been recognised for her groundbreaking series of stories revealing rape allegations in the fly-in, fly-out industry.

She has been nominated for best business reporting in Australian journalism’s most prestigious awards.

Her reporting prompted a powerful parliamentary committee to open an inquiry into the issue, which has heard from Australia’s biggest miners who have committed to sweeping cultural change.
