Dampier Sharks have continued their dominance in the North Pilbara Football League with a 160-point belting of the Port Hedland Rovers on Saturday, 28.15 (183) to 3.5 (23). The Sharks made the most of their opportunities in the first quarter of the round 13 clash at Windy Ridge Oval, booting 7.5 to the Rovers’ 1.2 to hold a massive 39-point lead. An 11-goal second term for the Sharks helped keep their lead while the Rovers got punished after kicking 2.4 to trail by 58 points. Rovers were wasteful in front of goal, booting 2.5 to the Sharks 21.11, giving the Sharks a 120-point lead in the third quarter. The Sharks remained consistent in the final quarter as they continued to dominate the scoreboard. Shane Mcintosh led the way for the Sharks with six goals, with help from Brennan Steward with five goals. Sharks James Rhodes and Guy Langdon also chipped in with three goals each. The Dampier Sharks will face the South Hedland Swans on Saturday while the Port Hedland Rovers face the Karratha Falcons at Colin Matheson Oval. In the reserves, the Sharks notched a 16.18 (114) to 3.2 (20) win over Rovers.
