Karratha schools to remain closed following TC Damien

The Department of Education has confirmed nine public schools in the Pilbara will remain closed for the rest of the week following damage caused by Tropical Cyclone Damien.

Baynton West Primary School, Dampier Primary School, Karratha Primary School, Karratha Senior High School, Millars Well Primary School, Pegs Creek Primary School, Roebourne District High School, Tambrey Primary School and Wickham Primary School will be closed for the rest of the week as they continue to be inspected for damage.

Lessons have recommenced for Year 12 ATAR students at St Luke’s College with Year 11 ATAR students set to resume tomorrow, however the College remained closed for all other students.

Roebourne Child and Parent Centre will re-open on Friday.
