Karratha Kats were in fine form on Saturday, easily accounting for the Port Hedland Rovers in round seven of the North Pilbara Football League.

A venue change saw the Kats playing away from their home ground, Millars Well and instead taking on the Rovers at Bulgarra Oval.

Not being on home turf didn’t get in the Kats’ way though as they came out dominant in the first quarter and scored the game’s opening goal.

The Rovers attempted to put up a fight but managed to kick just one goal in the first quarter.

At half-time Rovers were trailing by 25 points and they struggled to make a dent in the third quarter, scoring two points.

In the final term, Rovers narrowed the margin with an early goal.

In the end, Kats proved too strong and ran out 53-point winners, 13.4 (82) to 4.5 (29).

Kats’ Nelson White kicked six goals.

Meanwhile in the reserves, the scores were similar with the Kats crushing the Rovers 13.7 (85) to 5.2 (32).
