Media students of all ages were able to see their creativity and hard work pay off on the big screen recently as they showcased their skills at a short film festival.

Primary and secondary students dressed to the nines to walk the red carpet at Roebourne District High School on September 17, and their films were premiered for family and teachers.

The event was organised by the IF Foundation, established in 2011, to showcase the creative skills of students in the Pilbara town.

The night also featured a dinner provided by the Roebourne PCYC.

Films from the festival will also be shown next month alongside works by students from Dampier and Wickham as part of the Otherworldly Films night at the Red Earth Arts Precinct.
