Sharks walk the Pirates’ plank

The pre-cyclone Damien round 15 of Karratha Water Polo Association took place last Thursday at Karratha Leisureplex with the Barracudas/Pirates beating the Krakens/Sharks 5 to 4.

Barracudas/Pirates Jade Adams scored three goals and Krakens/Sharks Cherie Viney scored two.

The men’s B grade saw the same result with Barracudas/Pirates beating the Krakens/Sharks 6 to 5. Barracudas/Pirates Tim Hunt and Ethan Wood Hill both scored two goals each and Breffney O’Shea scored two goals for Krakens/Sharks.

Women’s A grade saw the Cudas take on the pirates winning 3 to 1 in a low scoring affair.

The Cudas goalkeeper Alexa Naprasik stopped everything the Pirates threw at her. Pirate Kerry Ann Hoff (one goal) had a good tussle with Ashleen McGovern.

The Krakens had the second game against the pirates which was a domination by the Krakens winning 14 to 5.

Krakens power duo Ebony Hennessy and Simone Fountain combined for 11 goals and Kerry Ann Hoff tried hard with three.

In men’s A grade, the Sharks and Krakens had a 9 all draw.

Kraken Byron Newbold led from the front with four goals supported by David Rigby returned to form with three goals, Sharks Oleg Roshetnikov scored 6 with 4 in the first quarter and was helped by Charlie Regan with three.
