Fault closes kids’ water park

Residents have been left hot and bothered after the temporary closure of Marquee Park last week.

A programming fault on Saturday, April 18, forced the popular children’s water park to temporarily close.

Technicians are working on correcting the fault.

Town of Port Hedland Mayor Camilo Blanco said community safety was the main priority and suggested the Gratwick Pool as an alternative for residents to stay cool in the interim.

“Keeping the park closed while the issue is being addressed is the only way to make sure that the kids are kept out of harm’s way,” he said.

“This closure is only temporary, and we can expect to see the park back open and running very soon.”
