Mathews takes glory in Summer Cup round 5

Round 5 of the Port Hedland Golf Club Summer Cup began with some beautiful weather and some good scores coming in at the end of nine holes.

First place went to Greg Mathews on a countback with Russell Lissa on 23 points.

Vic Ariagarda was third with 22 points.

Novelty prizes went to Chris Baker with nearest the pin on the 2nd and Glenn Robertson was nearest the pin for two shots on the 1st.

Steve Lindley won men’s long drive on the 3rd.

Natalie Devenish was nearest the pin on the 8th and took ladies’ long drive on the 4th.

Long putt was secured by Lynette Lissa. To finish the day, Des Puertellano had an eagle on the 9th.

The Summer Cup is sponsored by Davis Contracting.

Round 6 is this week, with names in by 1.30pm for a 2pm tee-off.
