A Port Hedland pharmacy has won a national sales excellence award at the Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference and Trade Exhibition.

More than 65000 delegates attended the 27th annual conference on the Gold Coast earlier this month.

Pharmacy 777 Port Hedland pharmacist Lee Ross accepted the sales excellence award on behalf of the pharmacy, and said it was an honour for the small store to be recognised on a national level.

The pharmacy, inside Boulevard Shopping Centre, was recognised for its outstanding sales skills as the result of selling the largest amount of the Thuasne range, a brand of braces.

“It’s a good product to have up here, because a lot of people have sport injuries, being a country town,” Mr Ross said.

He said the award was the result of a joint effort by the pharmacy’s staff, who were dedicated to delivering high-quality service to their customers.

Mr Ross said the exhibition was a great opportunity to network with other pharmacists and suppliers.
