Softball begins in a nail-biting win

Round one saw a great beginning to the well awaited 2017 Softball season.

Saturday afternoon saw the A-grade Jets taking the win 6-5 against Hawks, while later in the afternoon Pirates defeated Raiders 6-3.

Pirates Gemima Rahman easily took out the top batting sport for the weekend with four RBIs from a triple and a home run.

Next week will see the beginning of Friday night games, with the Association encouraging all interested Hedland women to come down to the Wednesday training days.
