Turtle-care fundraiser

As this year’s turtle-monitoring season comes to an end, Care For Hedland ramps up its fundraising efforts for next year’s season.

The first fundraising event for 2017 will see the return of the popular Annual Turtle Program Fundraiser Quiz Night.

The quiz will be on Friday, March 24 with tickets at $10 or $100 for a table.

All funds raised will go back into the Environmental Association’s ongoing efforts to monitor and secure the future of Flatback Turtles in Port Hedland.

Donations will also be open to support the turtle program for those unable to attend and they can be made by visiting the Care For Hedland website.

The night will include games, raffles and a silent live auction.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks; however, the quiz is a licensed event and BYO alcohol is not permitted.

Held at the C3 Church on Pedlar Street in South Hedland, doors will open at 6.30pm on the night for a 7pm start.

To book a table or for further information about the turtle-monitoring program and how to become involved, contact Care For Hedland co-ordinator Melissa Wood on 0488 907 260 or email coordinator@careforhedland.org.au.
