Aussie comedian Luke Kidgell will bring his tour to Kalgoorlie-Boulder next week.

The Good Intentions show will feature stories of Kidgell’s travels during the past few years and his experience of “not having a real job”.

After first visiting the city three years ago, the comedian is particularly excited to revisit his favourite attraction.

“Obviously excited to see the Super Pit. It’s my favourite hole,” he said.

“Sam, the guy who is opening for me, he hasn’t seen it, so I’m really looking forward to showing him how big and gaping it is.”

He is also hoping to reconnect with some local characters.

“I met a guy who’s a tattoo artist who tattooed a whole GT stripe around someone’s body the long ways, if that makes sense,” Kidgell said.

“Just like one big, long stripe in a circle around their body, and I think about that regularly.”

The Melbourne-based comedian often chats to his audiences, and clips of his crowd-work often go viral on social media.

“Otherwise I’m doing the same jokes every night,” he said.

“It makes the show unique for the crowd . . . I just usually start talking to someone that looks interesting.

“You literally do what they tell you not to, which is you judge a book by its cover.”

Kidgell said the show in Kalgoorlie-Boulder would make for a great night.

“It’s going to be fun and, be truly honest in your heart, there’s not much else to do there, so come along,” he said.

“Otherwise, you’ll be waiting till the next time Carl Barron comes back to town, and who knows when that is.”

The Kalgoorlie-Boulder leg of the Good Intentions tour will be at the Goldfields Arts Centre next Saturday July 25, and a ticket is $55.
