Ex-skimpy takes on Kalgoorlie-Boulder to share unhinged life experiences and her ‘bad mum’ parenting style

An ex-skimpy with a colourful past is set to take her Bad Mums comedy show to Kalgoorlie-Boulder to prove life is more fun when you’re unconventional. Thirty-nine-year-old Nikki Justice started her stand-up career in 2021 after going through a divorce with the father of her three children and has since continued to rise in the comedy scene. Justice’s vibrant personality has seen her become a regular guest on OG Crew Youtube channel, which has more than one million subscribers, and win a Fringe World award for Perth’s Best Comedy show in 2025. On Saturday, the rising comedian will take her Bad Mums show to the Tower Hotel in Kalgoorlie-Boulder to “overshare” about her real-life experiences, making audience members “feel better” about their own parenting. “My house is full of love and full of laughter, but it’s chaos,” she said. “It’s like the blind leading the blind — like I have ADHD and my kids, two of them have ADHD. “I have my strengths, I have my weaknesses, and my weaknesses tend to be getting them out of the door on time for school and when I do get them to school on time, guaranteed we get there and I’ve forgotten something.” Justice said her show was not just about being a mum, but also about her “colourful” life experiences including being married to a bikie and having previously worked as a stripper. “I’ve literally done almost every career you could think of,” she said. “I also had a quite crazy upbringing — my parents were very unconventional, so I talk about them in the show as well. “It’s not just about the kids — it’s about just us as women and the lives we lead.” Audience members will also be able to anonymously share their crazy parenting stories, which will be read out on stage. “Every parent has a funny story about either a failure or something really naughty or unhinged their kid did,” she said. “The stories that we hear every night are just like . . . there’s always something that has your jaw on the floor, like we get a hall of famer at every show.” The show is part of Justice’s Bad Mums regional WA tour, which is going to 14 locations from Esperance to Nickol across August and September. Justice said it was her second time visiting Kalgoorlie-Boulder, having already visited the region once before as a 15 year-old when her family had travelled Australia with a circus. “My dad ended up coming home one day and was like, ‘we’re running away with the circus and somehow we ended up running away with the circus,” she said. “We travelled around Australia for nearly a year . . .
