Child allegedly posed with gun, threatened to do drive-by shooting at Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School

Police investigated allegations a child posed with a gun and threatened to do a “drive-by shooting” at a WA high school. When asked to address alleged threats made by a child regarding Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School, a police spokesperson confirmed they were aware of a recent threat made on a “chat app” between students at a Goldfields-Esperance school. “The matter has been investigated, and police advise there are no safety concerns or risk to students, teachers, or members of the community,” the spokesperson told the Kalgoorlie Miner. The Kalgoorlie Miner understands the child threatened to do a “drive-by shooting” at the school and had posed for a photo holding what appeared to be a gun. The Department of Education was also contacted for comment.
