Power outage sweeps Pilbara

The power has gone out across the Pilbara as a fault affects approximately 5000 customers in Karratha and Port Hedland.

A Horizon Power spokesman said the fault occured at the power station in Hedland late this morning and is expected to be restored within the hour.

“The outage has affected approximately 5000 customers in Karratha and Port Hedland,” he said.

“Power is expected to be restored within the hour - faults and emergencies should be reported on 13 23 51.”
