A great white shark has been detected along Perth’s coast multiple times over the last week, but 11 alerts have been broadcast today alone. The first around 3.55am this morning.

Fisheries Officers from Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), Local Government rangers and Surf Life Saving WA will continue to monitor the situation.

Surf Life Saving WA has also issued an alert for Dunsborough after a 1.8m shark was spotted 10 metres off-shore this morning.

In December, Cottesloe beach was closed multiple times by a massive great white shark.

The vision of the 5.3m female, which came within 200m of the beach, made waves across the country after it was spotted several times before it was snagged by a drumline and eventually tagged.
