Carey Park are well placed to be the fourth team to go back-to-back in the SWFL colts competition this century as their finals campaign begins.

The Panthers have the first week of finals off after securing the minor premiership and will face the winner of the qualifying final between Bunbury and Dunsborough in two weekend’s time.

Bunbury finished second on the ladder just four points behind the reigning premiers, while Dunsborough finished four points behind the Bulldogs in third in what was just their first year in competition.

Bunbury and the Sharks have played out thrilling contests in their two meetings this year, with Dunsborough taking the first match by three-points and Bunbury claiming the honours by the same margin in their second meeting.

The teams have split the points in their two meetings this year, with Busselton beating HBL by 12 points in round four before the Lions won by 15 points in round 15.

The winner of the clash will face the loser of Bunbury’s match with the Sharks in the next round of finals.
