WA Bunnings stores are sparking up the BBQ and launching an iconic sausage sizzle for a very special cause.

On Saturday October 18, Bunnings stores across the State will fire up the barbie from 8am to 4pm, with 100 per cent of proceeds from every sausage sold going directly to Telethon.

As part of the fundraising fun, stores will also be selling colourful pegs, handcrafted by kids during recent weekend D.I.Y. workshops. They’re called ‘Positivity Pegs’ and will be available for a gold coin donation.

“This weekend’s sausage sizzle is a great way for our team and customers to come together, enjoy a classic Bunnings snag, and make a real difference in the community,” said Hayley Coulson, Bunnings General Manager of Store Operations.

“Last year, WA stores raised and contributed $65,000 for the WA Telethon Weekend, and we’re thrilled to be getting behind the BBQ once again to do our bit for children and families across the State.”

West Aussies can also show their support by donating at the register, with every dollar raised helping make a difference in the lives of local kids and their families.

Telethon weekend will run next Saturday and Sunday, from October 18-19, featuring 26 hours of live entertainment on Channel 7 in WA, and nationally on 7flix and 7plus.

The broadcast is set to showcase heart-warming stories, special guests, and the generosity of Western Australians raising funds for sick, vulnerable, and disadvantaged children and their families.

On Sunday, 19 October, the Telethon Family Festival returns to the streets around RAC Arena. Wellington Street, from RAC Arena to Yagan Square, will be packed with free entertainment, food trucks, family activities, and more.
