Perth traffic: Several crashes and breakdowns take their toll on peak-hour rush

Peak-hour traffic is quickly banking up in a several areas across Perth as accidents and breakdowns take their toll.

A crash on Tonkin Highway northbound after Roe Highway in Kewdale has closed the right lane.

An incident response team is on site, with motorists urged to allow for safe merging as traffic builds.

A crash on the Narrows Bridge southbound has been cleared but traffic is still heavy back to Hay Street.

Motorists will also find Roe Highway westbound at Tonkin Highway in Wattle Grove slow on approach after an accident.

Vehicles are in the left emergency lane and police are on the scene.

Drivers should proceed with caution on the Farrington Road entry to Kwinana Freeway northbound in Murdoch after a breakdown, with the vehicle in the emergency lane.

There has also been a breakdown on Kwinana Freeway southbound before South Terrace in Como.

Tow trucks are on site and traffic is flowing, albeit slowly.

Motorists are out of their vehicles with the centre lane blocked on Orrong Road southbound at Leach Highway in Welshpool.

Emergency service crews are dealing with the situation, with drivers asked to be cautious.
