“I think board chairs have to take ultimate responsibility for these sorts of situations — and I did,” she said.

The parents of Aishwarya Aswath — who died from a bacterial infection due to a litany of failures at Perth’s world-class paediatric hospital last month — say they are “relying” on the Health Minister to fix the system that cost their seven-year-old daughter her life.

The Federation-style home, on a 1012sqm corner block, was built about 1905 and features impressive high ceilings, black swan painted-glass windows and traditional finishings.

The 10 WA male rising cricketers to watch

Another off-season, another potential interstate raid on Western Australia’s stocks.

As WA coach Adam Voges loses Fremantle batsman Jake Carder (South Australia) and fights to keep former Test batsman Hilton Cartwright (Victoria) and Josh Philippe (New South Wales), it’s time to take a look at the next generation of WA cricketers.

The current young crop is incredibly exciting – Cameron Green needs no introduction, and he’s well supported by fellow all-rounder Aaron Hardie, pace ace Lance Morris, left-armer Liam Guthrie and more.
