The sixth round of the Hedland Home Hardware Summer Cup saw another standout performance with one player blitzing the field while most others struggled.

Mark Hodges showed the potential that has been lurking beneath, with an amazing 25 stableford points to win the day.

Zeljko Pejovic followed up last week's win with a solid 21 points to take second place and Roger Heenan held out a number of others on 20 points to take third by way of a countback.

Heenan also added the nearest the pin on the 2nd hole while Tim Britcliffe made the long 8th hole look simple as he hit it inside a meter to win the nearest the pin there.

Jarrod Hodgins holed a huge putt on the 7th green to win the longest putt of the day while Peter Maidment took out the men's long drive on the 4th hole.

After a long break from the game, Helen Wright showed she still has what it takes, winning the ladies' long drive on the first hole.

Pejovic's run of form has seen him surge to the top of the overall leader board, with Grant Penlington and Nathan Webber close behind.

But in this competition, where the players count the best six rounds out of a total of nine, there can still be a lot of changes.

Round seven tees off at 2.30pm this Saturday.
