A serious multi-vehicle crash at a notorious industrial intersection has sent four people to hospital — two with life-threatening injuries.

Emergency services were called to the Naval Base intersection of Rockingham Road and Hope Valley Road about 10.15am on Tuesday after a DAF truck, Holden Colorado utility and a Kia Cerato sedan collided.

The force of the impact left the intersection littered with debris, as paramedics worked to stabilise the victims at the scene.

One driver involved in the pile-up was rushed under priority conditions to Royal Perth Hospital, while a passenger from one of the vehicles was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital with serious injuries.

Two others — a second driver and another passenger — were also transported to Fiona Stanley Hospital, though they are believed to have escaped with minor injuries.
