The WA upper house MP who defected from One Nation has become embroiled in a war of words with one of the party’s candidates on social media, labelling him a “septic pustule”.

After Charles Smith resigned from the Pauline Hanson-led party last week, blaming a lack of direction by state leader Colin Tincknell, he responded angrily to a tweet by One Nation’s candidate for the 2018 Darling Range by- election.

“You really are quite the bitter and twisted little man,” Mr Smith wrote to Rod Caddies.

“Eaten up with jealously and hate because you were NOT elected.

“You have been smearing my character to Pauline for two years. You are a disgrace and liar.

“Nobody in One Nation likes you or Colin. They love me.”

Mr Caddies mockingly replied: “hear (sic) you go again with your conspiracy theories ... Everybody loves you, of course they do”.

The spelling error prompted Mr Smith, now an independent MP, to call Mr Caddies a “semi literate goon”.

“You really are the septic pustule on the anus of vulgar society,” the East Metropolitan Region MP tweeted.

In the video, Mr Smith said he was “forced out” of One Nation.

Mr Tincknell has said Mr Smith was not a team player.
