Perth is having a run of early spring sunshine and temperatures in the mid-20s, although chilly mornings will keep a winter bite in the air.

The city will reach 23C on Wednesday afternoon under mostly sunny skies, with easterly winds easing in the evening.

Thursday will be another mostly sunny 23C day, after a cooler start with a minimum of 10C.

The warmth will build on Friday, with the temperature tipped to hit 25C under partly cloudy skies before the weather turns on the weekend.

Saturday will bring a high chance of showers, most likely in the morning, with temperatures reaching 22C.

A shower or two is possible on Sunday, with the temperature easing to 21C.

The sunshine will return on Monday, with a possible morning shower clearing to a mostly sunny 23C day.

Tuesday is shaping up as another beautiful day, with a sunny 25C expected.

Despite the spring sunshine, mornings will remain a little on the cool side with fresh winds making temperatures feel chillier than the 10-13C minimums expected through the coming week.

The Bureau of Meteorology is also warning of a high UV index of seven on Wednesday through to Friday, with sun protection recommended during the middle of the day.
