Perth weather: Hot and sunny Spring days to come just as WA school holidays end

After a cool and wet school holidays, the weather is finally starting to heat up — just in time for classes to return.

Perth kids — and their parents — will feel robbed by mother nature as beach weather has been few and fair between this spring break.

But on Monday the mercury will reach 27 degrees in Perth, as school children are welcomed back for their first day of Term Four.

The sunshine will continue through to Tuesday, with the temperature expected to reach a top of 25.

There is a slight chance of rain on Wednesday and Thursday, as it cools down to a maximum of 23 for both days.

But there’s still an opportunity to soak up some sun this weekend.

While today’s temperature is only expected to reach a top of 22 and Saturday a touch warmer at 23, Sunday will provide a sneak peek of the weather to come, reaching a top of 25 and sunny.

The school holidays has had a disappointing run of weather, with parents and kids looking to make the most of eased lockdown measures kept indoors by rain and cool weather.

So far this school holidays, more than 20ml of rain has fallen on the city — including 7.4ml overnight in Perth.

The highest temperature recorded over the break was 23 on Wednesday. The school holiday average was 20, while the mercury dipped to as low as 6.

Perth had recorded a 30 degree scorcher just two days before the start of the school holidays.
