A “scuffle” broke out at during the final hours of voting at the South Ballajura Primary School between a number of volunteers and voters in the seat of Cowan.

WA Police confirmed an incident occurred on Saturday afternoon but no injuries were reported.

Witnesses said the altercation involved some people believed to be One Nation volunteers.

WA Senator Peter Georgiou posted photos of a man’s head covered in blood stains on Twitter, saying a One Nation volunteer was targeted in a “random racist attack”.
