Train delays as police operation wraps up
Police are wrapping up a security operation at Melbourne's busy Flinders Street Station that has caused widespread delays for peak hour commuters.
Police say they were called to the station about 5pm on Monday to conduct a "safety check", and the area was closed down as a precaution.
There are few details about the operation, but police say the area is now safe.
Trains heading towards the city were stopped on all lines for some time.
Public transport authorities say trains have started running again, but delays may last up to 45 minutes.
