With the AFL’s trade period done and dusted, most footy fans like to turn over a new leaf and start fresh for the 2021 season.

Enter the 2021 team calendars.

With the AFL pushed back due to COVID, calendars were printed in readiness for the Christmas/New Year rush — but were released before the trade period went down.

Collingwood, the obvious loser from the 2020 trade period, have not only Adam Treloar front and centre on its 2021 calendar, he’s also inside along with fellow discard Jaidyn Stephenson.

West Coast’s recruit Alex Witherden features in Brisbane’s 2021 calendar for the month of October.

Crows fans will see now-Saint Brad Crouch on the front of theirs, but luckily he’s the month of January so the pain will be short lived.

Also featuring in January, Treloar, new Blue Adam Saad in Bombers colours and new Demon Ben Brown for North Melbourne, alongside retirees Brad Ebert in Port Adelaide’s and Ben Stratton in Hawthorn’s.

Port Adelaide’s Aliir Aliir is on the cover of the Swans’ 2021 calendar, while new Cat Jeremy Cameron features inside the GWS version.

Shaun Higgins and Rory Atkins are the other players inside calendars of clubs they no longer play for.

The AFL was forced to jump the gun and release the 20-month calendars in September before the season ended and the trade speculation began.

Safe to say some fans won’t enjoy reliving what they’ve lost again in 2021.
