Former Love Island star Tayla Broad and Richmond Tigers premiership hero Nathan Broad have announced that they are expecting their second child in an emotional Instagram post.
The pair — who have been together since 2019 and married in 2022 — have been open about their fertility struggles, as Tayla lives with endometriosis and had been told her journey to pregnancy could be “harder than most”.
The touching photo posted to Instagram features Tayla showing off her bare baby bump with the couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Samara.
“We finally got our second little chick cooking away 🐣💙,” the post is captioned.
The who’s who of the AFL world flooded Tayla and Nathan’s social media, reacting to the happy news.
“Congratulations guys! 😍🥰✨,” former WAG and hairdresser Jules Neale said.
“Congrats!! 💛🖤,” the official Richmond Tigers account said.
Tayla took to her Instagram stories to thank her followers for their well wishes, while extending her support for people struggling to conceive.
“I also just wanted to say that I know firsthand how hard pregnancy announcements can be when you’re trying for a baby yourself. I’ve been on that side of the screen too, and I know how many emotions they can bring up,” she said.
“My heart goes out to everyone on their own journey right now. I’m thinking of you and sending you so much love.”
Chloe Pink — who is married to North Melbourne Kangaroos player Toby Pink and has widely documented her own story of infertility — offered her own touching congratulations to the couple.
“So excited for you 🤍,” she said.
Chloe posted her own emotional video detailing multiple negative pregnancy tests, captioned: “another month, another negative. . . For anyone quietly carrying this heartbreak, you’re not alone.”
“Sending so much love and support,” Tayla commented on the post.
