VideoShannon Hurn's day is done in the first quarter against St Kilda.

Shannon Hurn’s coronation as West Coast’s outright games record holder may have to wait after the former skipper was an early casualty in the Eagles’ clash with St Kilda.

Hurn tied Dean Cox’s club record of 290 games when he took to the field against the Saints, but the veteran lasted barely half of the first term before coming to the bench with an apparent calf injury.

Hurn had been set to play game 291 in a Friday night blockbuster against Collingwood at Optus Stadium next week.
