Indian cricketers soak up the sun poolside at Crown Towers ahead of ODI series-opener against Australia

Last summer’s Test villain, Mohammed Siraj, has taken to social media to fire off a cheeky salvo ahead of India’s first ODI clash with Australia after landing in Perth early on Thursday.
Siraj became the pantomime villain of last summer’s epic Border-Gavaskar Trophy after his send-off and war of words following his dismissal of Travis Head in Adelaide.
However, there is clearly no love lost between the fast bowler and Australian fans, posting a photo with assistant coach and South African legend AB de Villiers with the caption “see you soon Aussies, oi oi oi.”

Many of the nation’s stars, including Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, arrived in the early hours of the morning, days out from Sunday’s series-opener at Optus Stadium.
The squad were seen taking full advantage of the amenities at Crown Towers, with the premier Perth hotel offering standard rooms up to $1800 a night, not including the $25,000 a night Chairman’s Villa.
From poolside to stepping out onto the streets of Perth for coffee, the visitors have shown no signs of jetlag following the long-haul flight from New Delhi, which included a nearly four-hour delay.
Opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal posted a video poolside along with fellow Indian stars Nitish Kumar Reddy and Druv Jhurel with the caption “Recovery time”.

Jaiswal starred against the Aussies last summer, announcing himself to the Australian public with a stunning century in last year’s Perth Test.
Kumar Reddy, Jhurel, Washington Sundar and bowler Arshdeep Singh all shared similar photos of the Burswood precinct with the Swan River and Perth city skyline in the background.
Washington Sundar, who has nearly 2.5 million followers on the platform, also shared a picture out for coffee Thursday afternoon.
While spinner Kuldeep Yadav shared a photo to his 4.5 million-strong Instagram following alongside fielding coach T Dilip. The pair dined out in the streets of Perth.

India had their first training session on Thursday afternoon before a main session from 9.30am on Friday morning before an optional session on Saturday afternoon at 2pm.
Sunday’s one-day international will kick off a three-game series between the two nations.
