Antcliff shoots 64 to contend in Tenerife
Australian Maverick Antcliff has given himself a shot at victory in the Canary Islands Championship going into the last round, having shot a second straight round of 64 in Tenerife.
Just as on Friday, the Queenslander enjoyed a flawless, bogey-free, seven-birdie round on Saturday to move to 15-under for the championship.
It put him in joint-fourth place, five shots behind the South African leader Garrick Higgo.
But Antcliff will have to produce more of the same to catch the in-form Higgo, who won just two weeks ago and is a total of 61-under for his 11 rounds so far on the European Tour's three-event Canary Islands swing.
Higgo carded two eagles, two bogeys and five birdies, also finishing with a seven-under 64 to get to 20-under overall.
